Holidays

To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.
Kohelet (Ecclesiates) Chapter 3

The Jewish year cycle is marked with days of celebration and of sorrow, opportunities for learning and for introspection, times to let our hair down and to lift one another up. We honor and celebrate these holy days with a variety of events - some traditional, some not-so-much.

Come join us as we build the sukkah, fry latkes and light candles on Hanukkah, or learn about the political foundations of Purim. Write your own Tisha B'av lament or ten new commandments for the 21st century on Shavuot. Remember your loved ones at festival yizkor services and explore the meaning of redemption in our day.

And of course, we gather for the High Holy Days in the fall as well as the holiest of days - Shabbat!
